Tydeus

Tydeus, Parthenopaeus, and Adrastus were three of the seven heroes who fought against Thebes.

The son of Tydeus went on also with me, and his crews with him.

But Tydeus slew them all, leaving only Mon alive, that he might carry back the tidings to Thebes.

If Tydeus consults the gods in the cave of a temple, the cave answers him only by great claps of thunder.

Outside the gates of the royal palace he encountered Tydeus, the son of Œneus, king of Calydon.
