tympanic canal

Medical Dictionary

tympanic canal n.
A minute canal that passes from the petrous portion of the temporal bone between the jugular fossa and carotid canal to the floor of the tympanic cavity and transmits the tympanic branch of the glossopharyngeal nerve. Also called tympanic canaliculus.
