type 5 glycogenosis n.
Glycogenosis due to a phosphorylase deficiency resulting in the accumulation of glycogen in muscle and characterized by muscle cramping that limits the ability to perform strenuous exercise. Also called McArdle-Schmid-Pearson disease, McArdle's disease.
