Ty`pho*tox"in\, n. [Typhoid + -toxic.] (Physiol. Chem.) A basic substance, C7H17NO2, formed from the growth of the typhoid bacillus on meat pulp. It induces in small animals lethargic conditions with liquid dejecta.
