Vansire

Van"sire\, n. [The native name: cf. F. vansire.] (Zo["o]l.) An ichneumon (Herpestes galera) native of Southern Africa and Madagascar. It is reddish brown or dark brown, grizzled with white. Called also vondsira, and marsh ichneumon.
