vitamin D-resistant rickets n.
An inherited form of rickets characterized by high concentrations of phosphate in the blood due to defective renal tubular reabsorption of phosphate and subnormal absorption of dietary calcium. Also called X-linked hypophosphatemic osteomalacia.
