White line of anal canal

Medical Dictionary

white line of anal canal n.
A bluish pink zone located in the mucosa of the anal canal below the pectinate line at the interval between the subcutaneous part of the external sphincter and the lower border of the internal sphincter. Also called Hilton's white line.
