Wood River

Wood River, my next resting-place, is a township in Hall County with a population not exceeding one thousand.

It was situated on the river about a mile and a quarter above the crossing of the Red Wood River.

Between Wood River and Laramie a six year old grand-son fell from the tongue of a wagon loaded with about 3,500 pounds.

The soil is rich and well watered with Spirit creek and Upper Wood river.

The mother suggested that they return to the vicinity of Wood River Centre and arrange to spend the winter.
