write-through definition

architecture
(Or "write-thru") A cache architecture in which data is written to main memory at the same time as it is cached.
Opposite of write-back. See also buffered write-through, posted write-through, no-write allocation.

Write-through is always a great word to know.
So is quincunx. Does it mean:
an arrangement of five objects, as trees, in a square or rectangle, one at each corner and one in the middle.
a chattering or flighty, light-headed person.
