It was one of those evenings, wind WSW., when the sea and sky look stormier than they are, or will be.

On the 28th their course was still WSW and their distance increased 20 miles in that direction.

They then determined to keep their former course of WSW, but found the country rocky and barren.

Unfortunately, the wind was against us, blowing from the WSW.

On the 30th, they continued for 16 miles in the same direction of WSW.
