What are white foods?
White foods can be defined as processed foods involving white sugar or white flour, or starchy foods such as potatoes. A list of white foods would include bagels, white bread, cake, cereal, cookies, crackers, croissants, bakery goods, flour tortillas, macaroni/noodles/pasta, white-flour pancakes, white-flour pastry, pie, waffles, and white rice. The term white foods excludes food that is simply white in color (cauliflower) and white dairy products such as cottage cheese, milk, yogurt, or ice cream.
