acetoacetyl-CoA ac·e·to·a·ce·tyl-CoA (ās'ĭ-tō-ə-sēt'l-kō'ā', -ās'ĭ-tl-, ə-sē'tō-)
An intermediate in the oxidation of fatty acids. Also called acetoacetyl coenzyme A.
