acetyltransferase a·ce·tyl·trans·fer·ase (ə-sēt'l-trāns'fə-rās', -rāz', ās'ĭ-tl-)
An enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of acetyl groups from one compound to another. Also called acetylase, transacetylase.
