aerotitis media aer·o·ti·tis me·di·a (âr'ə-tī'tĭs mē'dē-ə)
An acute or chronic traumatic inflammation of the middle ear caused by differences between the pressure in the tympanic cavity and the ambient pressure. Also called barotitis media.
