bromocriptine bro·mo·crip·tine (brō'mō-krĭp'tēn')
An ergot alkaloid that slows dopamine turnover and inhibits prolactin secretion and thus is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and to retard the growth of various pituitary tumors.
