transsexual trans·sex·u·al (trāns-sěk'shōō-əl)

  1. A person with the external genitalia and secondary sexual characteristics of one sex, but whose personal identification and psychosocial configuration is that of the opposite sex.

  2. A person who has undergone a sex change.

  2. Relating to medical and surgical procedures designed to alter a person's external sexual characteristics so they resemble those of the opposite sex.
