Alexanderson   (āl'ĭg-zān'dər-sən)  Pronunciation Key 
Swedish-born American electrical engineer who in 1906 invented a high-frequency alternator that made radio communication more efficient. Alexanderson also developed the first practical television system in 1927 and the first color television receiver in 1955.
