Bactrian

The old Bactrian tongue in which the Avesta was composed became practically a dead language.

Owing to its use among the hills, the Bactrian species is sometimes called the Mountain Camel.

The mixed breed which has just been mentioned must be procured from a male Bactrian and a female Arabian Camel.

And, however severe the weather may be, the Bactrian Camel never sleeps under a roof.

The creature that lay still before them, a bullet through its brain, was a veritable, undoubted specimen of the Bactrian species.
