These rocks contain also iron oxides (usually titaniferous), apatite, sometimes sphene, augite and olivine.

The principal accessory minerals are titaniferous iron oxides and apatite.

It was found to contain good crystals of augite and olivine, well striated labradorite, and titaniferous iron ore.

The titaniferous oxide of iron, or iron sand, is also attractable by the magnet.

Certain basic intrusive igneous rocks contain titaniferous magnetites or iron ores as original constituents.
