to plan to do
There are various ways in Spanish of talking about what you plan to do, and tener pensado is a useful option.
Tenemos pensado quedarnos unos días en Montevideo.
We’re planning on staying in Montevideo for a few days.
Tengo pensado pasar un par de semanas en cada sitio que visite.*
I’m planning to spend a couple of weeks in every place I visit.
Notice that tener pensado does not change form for the feminine or the plural when used in this phrase.
