El conocimiento is the abstract noun related to the verb conocer. In some contexts it means knowing about a fact or situation, and you often use it in the phrase tener conocimiento de, to know about, to be aware of:

No tenía conocimiento de la existencia de esa cuenta bancaria.
He didn’t know about the existence of that bank account.

You often use the plural conocimientos to talk about your knowledge of a topic or skill.

Tengo algunos conocimientos musicales.
I have some knowledge of music.

Job advertisements often ask for conocimientos del inglés, some knowledge of English.
