vulgar, common; rude, bad-mannered

When applied to people and their behavior, ordinario is rather negative.

Para los árbitros del gusto literario era un poco ordinario.
He was a little bit common for the arbiters of literary taste.

A la señora Linero le pareció un hombre ordinario.
Senora Linero thought he was a rather common man.

Qué ordinario!
