simpático, adjective:

The ‘false friend’ that we will be looking at today is simpático. Be careful not to use sympathetic as a translation. It means nice. To say sympathetic in Spanish use the adjective comprensivo. Compare these examples.

Estuvo muy simpática con todos.
She was very nice to everybody.

Es una persona comprensiva que sabe escuchar.
She is a sympathetic listener.
