A cooking show for foodies may find Pinterest as a useful fan source.

At first glance, the words Pinterest and crime seem at odds.

But unlike other tech firms, Pinterest is actually telling its users when law enforcement comes calling.

And it comes after revenue-less bookmarking service Pinterest was recently valued at $3.8 billion.

It does have a competitive following on Pinterest (comparable to Wal-Mart and Crate & Barrel) which is important for retailers.
