Cáceres

In 1883, the ancient territory was divided into the two present existing states of Badajoz and Caceres.

The bishop of Nueva Caceres asks the king (July 20, 1611) for aid for the hospital there.

There are six secular benefices in the bishopric of Camarines, whose seat is in the city of Caceres.

An intrepid soldier was also Caceres, of Truxillo, who was captured by the Indians.

Caceres was, however, resolved upon further resistance and quarrelling with Iglesias, advanced into the latter's territory.
