Crockett, Davy

  1. A frontier settler and political leader of the nineteenth century. Crockett was born in Tennessee and was killed at the Alamo by Mexican troops in 1836. Although he cultivated the image of a rough man of the bush, Crockett was politically ambitious and served in Congress .
