Arbil

Nineveh is on the Tigris, distant one parasang from the town of Arbil.

The villages on the Mosul side of the Zab, as well as in the populous district of Arbil, were laid waste.

Nothing remained but to seek the ferry on the high road, between Arbil and Mosul.
