Hsiang

A man of the village of Ta-hsiang said, The great Confucius, with his vast learning, has made no name in anything.

Of these the first is known as the “box plan,” (hsiang-tzŭ), and it is not so much cramming, as padding.

At the final examination for his degree in 1256, Wn Tien-hsiang had been placed seventh on the list.

Their descendants will overshadow the land, and all the country beyond Hsiang-shan will become a kingdom of devils.

Hsiang-Chih possibly represents a name beginning with Gandha, but I can neither find nor suggest any identification.
