Staudinger

My friend, Dr. Staudinger, who has twice spent the summer in Lapland, thus writes in reply to my question.

I am familiar with numerous specimens in various stages, collected in Sardinia by Dr. Staudinger, and preserved by inflation.

From a blown specimen in Lederers collection, now in the possession of Dr. Staudinger.

But I am bound to add that Dr. Staudinger himself, as he informs me, is of a different opinion.

Staudinger in his catalogue of Palarctic Lepidoptera refers twenty genera comprising sixty-three species to this family.
