Al-Liby was indicted in 2000 for his role in planning the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
This past September Abebe was brought to New York City from Tanzania to testify in a pre-trial hearing before Judge Lewis Kaplan.
With Sayf, he was a key player in the attacks on the U.S. Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya in August 1998.
