Eichmann, Adolf

  1. A Nazi official who was responsible for the torture and killing of millions of Jews (see also Jews ) during the Holocaust . He escaped capture immediately after World War II but was apprehended in Argentina fifteen years later by agents of Israel . In Israel, he was convicted of crimes against humanity and hanged.
