bulbous buttercup

The Bulbous Buttercup is very similar to the last species, but may be known at once by its swollen, bulbous root.

Its stem is erect, hairy, and freely branched; and its leaves are much like those of the Bulbous Buttercup (p. 110).

In spring the Bulbous Buttercup is found everywhere, filling the meadows with its sunshiny flowers.

These remain close behind the yellow flower and do not fold back against the stalk as in the Bulbous Buttercup.
