There is one image that speaks louder to leibovitz than others—and inspires her to continually do more.
“No one in their right mind would put that on the cover,” said leibovitz.
During the conversation with Brown, leibovitz recalled one low point during her financial distress.
“With this book, you sort of go on a treasure hunt,” said leibovitz.
In 2009, before she began the project, leibovitz became embroiled in a legal and financial crisis.
“The deeper I got into the project, the more I realized that I became attracted to objects,” leibovitz said.
