Monoprotic is always a great word to know.
So is cyanide. Does it mean:
a salt of hydrocyanic acid, such as potassium cyanide, KCN
any of a class of chemical compounds having the general formula ROH, where R represents an alkyl group and ?OH a hydroxyl group
