plutino

[ plōō-tē ]


  1. A trans-Neptunian Kuiper belt object that orbits the Sun in the same time period as Pluto, exactly two orbits for every three orbits that Neptune makes. Too small to be considered planets, plutinos make up approximately one fourth of the Kuiper Belt objects.
