Pontormo

Jacopo Pontormo's work almost fails to interest us to-day save in his portraits.

He was the favourite pupil of Pontormo, some of whose works, left unfinished, he completed.

The charming mythological decorations between the windows are by Jacopo da Pontormo.

Pontormo was one of the most original "characters" among those described by Vasari.

Although the scholar and follower of Pontormo, he also recals Michelangiolo to our recollection.
