Redial is one of our favorite verbs.
So is lollygag. Does it mean:
to spend time idly; loaf.
to steal or take dishonestly (money, esp. public funds, or property entrusted to one's care); embezzle.
Example sentences
If the number called is busy or does not answer, the system will redial the number in an attempt to deliver the message.
If this happens, you can then redial immediately and try again.
Even if there's not much left to say, the redial button is obligatory.
Attempts to redial hits of the past got only a call-waiting.
