[ruhsh-uh-nahyz]
verb (used with object), Russianized, Russianizing.
1.
to make Russian; impart Russian characteristics to.
2.
to subordinate and force to adhere to Russian culture, ideology, etc.
3.
(sometimes lowercase) to treat (leather) by a process similar to that used on Russia leather or by any process that will produce such leather.
Also, especially British, Russianise.
