n.  A common food and game fish (Trachurus symmetricus) of Pacific coastal waters. Also called saurel.

  1. A marine fish of the genus Trachurus, characterized by bony lateral lines, especially T. trachurus of eastern Atlantic waters. Also called horse mackerel.
