Savannah sparrow

This species is larger and paler colored, but very similar to the more common and better known Savannah Sparrow.

Western Savannah Sparrow (alaudinus) is found from the Plains west to the coast ranges.

In general habits and nesting, it resembles the Savannah Sparrow, of which indeed, it is doubtless an island representative.

This a large and pale colored form of the common Savannah Sparrow.

Four tree sparrows, one savannah sparrow and three species of small mammals also were taken from this marsh.
