The sternum, with the clavicles and scapul, is perhaps the most curiously modified part of the skeleton of birds.

The shape is now given to the scapul on both sides, and all the muscles of the shoulders imitated.

The only one that I have been enabled to seize is, that their scapul and parapleur are parallel and placed obliquely.
