Shraddha, or Pinda, is an offering made to the manes of any deceased person, on an appointed day after his or her death.

He who kindles the fire shall perform the Dospinda: but her own son, or nearest relations, must perform the Shraddha.

Dahon or burning (in which case the wife may die with him,) and the Shraddha, or Pinda.

And so afterwards I go to Buddh Gaya, to make shraddha for the father of my children.'
