county, northern South Carolina, U.S. It is bordered to the north by North Carolina and to the southwest by the Enoree River. The county is also drained by the Tyger and Pacolet rivers. It lies in hilly piedmont terrain on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Appalachian chain. Croft State Park is located there, and the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway crosses the county's northern section
