the basic unit of grammatical analysis in tagmemics, consisting of a correlation between a grammatical function and the class of items that can occur in that function. Compare filler ( def 9 ), slot1 ( def 3 ).

1930–35; < Greek tágm(a) arrangement (equivalent to tag-, base of tássein to arrange + -ma noun suffix of result) + -eme

Tagmeme is always a great word to know.
So is callithumpian. Does it mean:
a children's mummer's parade, as on the Fourth of July, with prizes for the best costumes.
a calculus or concretion found in the stomach or intestines of certain animals, esp. ruminants, formerly reputed to be an effective remedy for poison.
