The Seine River, which flows along Vitry-sur-Seine's eastern border, is heavily industrialized in the area, although market gardening and horticulture still persist. The Church of Saint-Germain in Vitry-sur-Seine has a triple 13th-century nave and a 14th-century choir. Area 4.5 square miles (11.6 square km). Pop. (2004 est.) 80,700.
