Constative is always a great word to know.
So is ort. Does it mean:
a screen or mat covered with a dark material for shielding a camera lens from excess light or glare.
a scrap or morsel of food left at a meal.
Compare performative.

Origin:
1900–05; probably < French constat(er) to affirm, verify (apparently verbal derivative of Latin constat (it) is apparent, 3rd singular present of constāre; compare constant) + -ive
